Course Description
Learn with a community of fellow educators as you take this 4-week, self-paced online book study, "Disrupting Poverty: Five Powerful Classroom Practices” by Kathleen M. Budge and Willian H. Parrett. This book draws upon decades of research and myriad authentic classroom experiences to debunk harmful myths, explain facts, and urge educators to act against the debilitating effects of poverty on their students. Participants will explore classroom-tested strategies and exercises for personal growth and ways to support students no matter their background.

Credentials: 15 CECH or 1 Graduate Credit
After completing this course, you can obtain 15 CECH or 1 graduate credit. Graduate credit costs an additional small charge to the university for both members and non-members.
