Full course description
Early Literacy for Providers and Families teaches strategies to support young children’s language and literacy skills to increase their school readiness in home and childcare environments. This unique class is a great opportunity for families and providers to strengthen partnerships and support children by applying evidence-based strategies. This course is intended for anyone supporting children five or under - registered and unregistered providers, babysitters, parents, and grandparents are all welcome!
This hybrid class includes a self-paced online introduction to be completed before the two live online sessions on March 22, 2025, from 8 am to 11 am MT. Completion of the self-paced coursework through Canvas and the live sessions through Zoom is required for the stipend and a certificate for six CEUs. Additional information and links will be emailed to each registrant before the live online class.
A $100 stipend is available for all providers and family members from South Dakota who complete all portions of the class! Providers who attend with a family member of a child they support will receive an additional $25.
