Course Description
Welcome to the "Introduction to Co-Teaching: Co-Planning" module, a fundamental component of our comprehensive Intro to Co-Teaching experience. This self-paced, standalone unit is designed to integrate smoothly into your professional development journey, whether you're engaging with it as part of a larger series, within a hybrid training program, or as supplemental support for your co-teaching practice. The module's flexible structure allows you to progress at your own pace, accommodating your busy schedule while providing valuable insights into effective co-planning strategies. All assignments within this module can be completed independently or with a partner, giving you the freedom to choose the learning approach that best suits your preferences and circumstances.
By the end of this module, you'll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify the characteristics of successful co-planning, utilize co-teaching templates, collect and use data to inform your co-planning process, implement various student grouping strategies, and incorporate necessary accommodations and modifications in your co-planning sessions. Whether you're new to co-teaching or looking to refine your existing skills, this module will provide you with practical strategies to enhance your co-planning abilities, collaborate more effectively with your co-teaching partner, and create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment. - I can use co-teaching templates for effective co-planning.
- I can collect and use data for effective co-planning.
- I can group students by ability, content, and interest in my co-planning.
- I can incorporate accommodations and modifications in my co-planning.

Administrators, PLC leaders, and others can enroll their whole team; there's an option for bulk enrollment in the Catalog for registering multiple members. You first need to reserve and purchase multiple enrollments. After that, you can invite individuals to your purchased seats.
Credentials: 3 CECH
After completing this course, you can obtain 3 CECH (continuing education contact hours) for South Dakota. CECH/CEUs are free of charge and can be obtained instantly upon completing all requirements.
