Course Description

"Academic Instruction" is a comprehensive course that empowers paraprofessionals to effectively support student learning within the classroom setting. The course begins with an engaging narrative that highlights the critical role paraprofessionals play in delivering quality academic instruction. Through a series of informative BHSSC-created videos, reflective exercises, and assessments, participants will gain a deep understanding of their responsibilities and the impact they can have on student success. The course explores various instructional strategies, providing guidance on how and when to apply each approach to best support diverse learners. Paraprofessionals will expand their repertoire of instructional techniques, enabling them to adapt to different student needs and learning styles. By the end of the course, participants will feel confident in their ability to contribute meaningfully to academic instruction and create a supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and achievement.
